Design Development & Coordination

The design process encompasses the entire plaster program, including adjacent finishes, embedded elements, such as MEP and HVAC, as well as the ornamental design. FRA is expert at working with architects, interior designers, and owners to efficiently develop design options, adding to a robust exploration of possible paths for a project. We also produce full working drawings for coordination with other trades as is required by any project. Starting with sketches and inspiration, moving to finished drawings and designs, we finish by developing each element, whether ornamental or architectural, in finished drawings for approval. Throughout the process, we emphasize both efficiency and quality. Efficiency is the byproduct of our experience and expertise in working with team members on a project, and quality is our inherent trademark and is the number one priority at FRA.

Sketches & Inspiration

Finding the right design for a project begins with sketches and inspiration imagery. The design team will bring the vision, and we will help refine that vision. Our drawing process complements the architects' and designers' drawings and ideas. We help drill down into the details, both historic and aesthetic, and help to make a good design a great design.

Finished Drawings

After we've created schematic designs through sketches and inspiration, we develop approved direction into finished design drawings, and full coordination drawings and details for final approval. This step culminates an in-depth process of bringing an idea into a buildable reality.
